I've always treated pinworms with two doses of Vermox (except in pregnant women). I will call in Rxs if they have appropriate symptoms or have seen the worms. I do treat the whole family. I also have them call if the symptoms don't get better or will see them if they describe a child with a red rectum (to r/o strep, abuse, etc.). Linda L. Shaw MD FAAP
