Technical Implementation Specialist

PCC, a private, Winooski-based healthcare IT Benefit Corporation, seeks a Technical Implementation Specialist to join our team to install, support, and maintain 260+ client networks across the United States. 

This role primarily focuses on the technical requirements to onboard new clients and is integral to a dedicated, client-focused agile team and requires technical expertise with exceptional customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Coordinate, schedule, and perform equipment installations, including servers, firewalls, wireless APs, and other network hardware at new client office in person and/or remotely
  • Advise clients in hardware selection, Internet and wide-area connectivity, remote office installations, and network planning
  • Provision cloud-hosted servers on Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS
  • Configure and ship physical servers and network hardware
  • Assist clients in coordinating PCC and third-party vendor activities
  • Provide friendly, professional technical support to PCC clients via phone, email, support tickets, and Basecamp. 
  • Document work activities and resolution using internal tools for visibility and knowledge sharing (Tuleap, Kayako).
  • Assist in receiving and shipping client hardware
  • Maintain effective technical documentation for our staff and clients
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive and protected information
  • Participate in special projects/roles as needed

Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience supporting information technology in a professional setting
  • Experience with Linux, including shell scripting (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky preferred)
  • Experience with Windows and Mac OS X operating systems
  • Experience with TCP/IP networks, including working knowledge of routers, firewalls, and switches; Wireless networks; DNS and DHCP; IPsec and VPN
  • Installation and troubleshooting of network hardware
  • Good security practices, especially HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI
