PCC's patient portal helps practices run more efficiently by enabling patients to access and share information without making an office visit or phone call.
Tanya Altmann:
We're just now starting to use the patient portal, and it's actually been very helpful because patients can go on and print out their own immunization records and visit summaries. We're not getting as many phone calls saying, "Hey, I need my child's vaccine records for camp next week or for the school." In that way, it's nice. Parents can just go on and access their own child's information when they need to.
Angela Beals:
The extra steps of calling us and waiting for us and just being able to access ... If they have any questions about their past visit, they're able to go back and take a look at those notes and what Dr. Tanya recommended. I think that's been a huge benefit for our patients, as well as us because it also cuts down on some of the phone calls that we're getting in regards to those things. We're able to spend more time with our patients while they're in the office.
Irma Tackie:
I think that the one thing I really love and that the families really love is the portal. The portal has made it so easy because we've cut out a lot of trips to the office by simply sending me stuff. If it's a form that needs filling, parent fills out their bit, signs it, sends it to me, I take care of what I need to do, send it right back.
I've had families who've moved out of California, and in moving, the one thing they really wanted was a practice that also used PCC so they could continue to use the portal. It was not so much about the physician, but do they use the same EHR system as you use because they become so familiar with the portal system. I love that. We've really encouraged our patients to use the portal system during office hours and then call in after hours. It really helps.
You would not be disappointed if you spoke to PCC and you pick PCC for your office. You wouldn't be.
